Precautions
1. Pruning
Chlorophytum maintenance should pay attention to pruning at ordinary times, and cut off the yellow leaves at any time. It can be combined with changing pots to cut off old roots, rotted roots and excess fibrous roots. The old leaves of the spider plant can be pruned in early and mid-May every year.
2. Pest control
Chlorophytum cultivation is generally less prone to pests and diseases. However, there will be root rot and root rot caused by water accumulation in the basin soil and poor ventilation, as well as scale insects, aphids, whiteflies, mites and other pests. At this time, spraying should be done in time.
3, breeding taboo
Chlorophytum is resistant to high temperature and is not resistant to hot sun. If the sun is strong, the leaves of Chlorophytum are easily burned and need to be shaded in summer. Families can place spider plants in brightly lit rooms for viewing. In summer, the water supply should be strengthened, and water should be sprinkled frequently to increase the air humidity.
Chlorophytum is not cold-resistant, and it can be safely overwintered if the room temperature is kept above 5 °C. When the temperature is low in winter, the spider plants should be placed in full light, and the watering should be less, so that the basin soil is slightly biased, and no fertilizer is applied.
