(2) Planting method

Potting refers to the operation of planting propagated seedlings or purchased seedlings into flower pots.

Choose flower pots with appropriate specifications according to the size of the seedlings; you should also pay attention to the difference between cultivation pots and commercial pots. Use ventilated pots for cultivation pots, such as pottery pots, wooden pots, etc., and use beautiful porcelain pots for commercial pots. , purple sand basin or plastic basin, etc. Before placing or changing pots, whether new or old, the pots should be soaked to remove soil, moss or leaching salts.

The method of placing the pot is to cover the drainage hole at the bottom of the pot with tiles first, with the concave side facing down. The bottom of the pot is filled with coarse grains, broken tiles or cinders of culture soil as a drainage layer, and then a layer of culture soil is filled. When planting seedlings, use the left hand to hold the seedlings, place them in a proper position in the center of the pot mouth, fill in the culture soil, and press down with your hands.

After filling the culture soil, there should be an appropriate distance between the soil surface and the pot mouth (usually 2 to 3 cm). Then use a watering can to fully irrigate, sprinkle the branches and leaves, and place the seedlings in the shade for a few days. After the seedlings resume growth, gradually put them in a place with sufficient light.
