What is the value of anthurium

Mar 09, 2022

The flowers and leaves are beautiful, and the flowering period is long. It is a high-quality cut flower material. The red flower candle is used as the main material, with small chrysanthemum, Xia grass, Yanshan ginger, and variable-leaf wooden vase inserts, which has a strong Jiangnan rural laziness. If the flower candle is the main flower, and the basket is inserted, it is an exquisite holiday gift, accompanied by oncidium, newspaper orchid, lily, and asparagus. It can absorb the exhaust gas (ammonia, acetone) discharged from the human body, and can also absorb various harmful gases (formaldehyde, etc.) remaining in the decoration, and at the same time, it can keep the air moist and avoid the drying of the human nasal mucosa.

The main diseases of anthurium include bacterial fusarium wilt, root rot, leaf spot and so on. Among them, bacterial fusarium wilt is devastating and is the key control object. The disease mostly occurs on leaves and flowers, and the symptoms of the disease are yellowish spots around the middle brown, and water-soaked spots can be seen from normal to infected tissues. Fusarium wilt spreads and causes damage very quickly. The infecting objects are mainly leaves. When the infection degree increases and becomes a systemic attack, it will kill the entire plant. There are no effective drugs available to treat bacterial wilt. Therefore, once the disease occurs, resolute measures must be taken to completely destroy the diseased plants and nearby plants, and extremely strict epidemic prevention measures should be taken for the remaining plants.

The root rot and leaf spot of anthurium are mostly fungal infections. The use of fungicides can achieve better control effects, and the combination of fine water and fertilizer management can generally restore the healthy growth of infected plants.

After a period of cultivation and management of anthurium, the substrate will undergo biodegradation and salinization, which will reduce the pH value of the substrate and increase the EC value, thereby affecting the ability of plant roots to absorb fertilizer and water. Therefore, the pH value and EC value of the substrate must be measured regularly, and the ratio of each nutrient element should be adjusted according to the measured data to promote the absorption of fertilizer and water by the plant.
