Alocasia is light and easy to break

Commodities are mostly cut into slices, round or oblong, often rolled into various shapes, 6-10cm in diameter and 2-3cm in thickness; the surface is brown or tan. Light in weight, easy to break, white or yellowish-white section, granular. The gas is weak, the taste is light, and the tongue is numb when chewing.

Nearly round or irregular flakes, 1-2mm thick. The periphery is brownish-yellow, and sometimes unremoved cork, annular nodes and round root scars can be seen. The quality is firm, the cut surface is white or yellowish-white silty, the vascular bundles are scattered in pale yellow dots, and the endothelial ring is clear. Slight gas, light taste, numbness when chewing.

The whole plant is poisonous, and the stem is the most poisonous. Accidental ingestion of this product is irritating and corrosive to the mucous membranes of the digestive tract, manifested as itching of the tongue and throat, swelling, salivation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sweating, burning pain in the stomach and intestines, severe suffocation, cardiac paralysis and death. Inhalation of dust containing calla can also cause poisoning. Poisoning can take egg white, flour, a lot of sugar water or intravenous glucose saline. Severe abdominal pain can be injected with morphine intramuscularly, and convulsions can be injected with sedatives. Itching occurs when the skin comes into contact with the juice, which can be washed with vinegar or acetic acid solution. Eye contact with sap can cause blindness.
