Caladium 'Carolyn Whorton,' aka Angel Wings 'Carolyn Whorton,' is a gorgeous cultivar of Caladium, which is a genus of flowering plants in the Araceae family. Caladium Carolyn Whorton Growing Instructions

IMPORTANT: Do not throw your calladium when the leaves start to wilt or fall . Even under the best conditions, caladium foliage lasts only a few months before the leaves start to die back and the plant goes dormant again ( 8-10 weeks). This is okay—they’re supposed to do that. When the plants die back, you can save the tubers in a bag and replant them next year or just leave them in the pot and do not water.

Water: Hate having too much water. Double-check that the pot has a hole in the bottom. Increase drainage with a layer of gravel or clay pebbles along the bottom of the pot to make water flow through easily

Light: The best place to set up your caladium is near a window that lets a lot of light through, but isn’t in overly direct sunlight, especially during the warmest hours of the day. It is vulnerable to excess sun that might dry the plant up. The more light a caladium recieves, the nicer its foliage.

Temperature: This South American native wants warm temps — 75-80°F/24-27°C is ideal, but it will tolerate a range of 70-85°F/21-29°C. Protect caladium plant from blasts of cold air from AC vents.

Humidity: Low to medium (20-60% ) Use a cool-mist room humidifiers for best results.
